Telemark Boots take a lot of abuse on mountain slopes and require a good fit to enjoy the pleasures of telemark skiing. Here at Rocky Mountain Resole, we frequent the backcountry of the rugged Rocky Mountains and understand these needs. We are on the leading edge of repair and custom fitting. We are able to resole any tele boot to factory specifications. We carry four types of midsoles to accommodate anything from touring boots, leather boots, to the heaviest of plastic boots. We also stock two types of soles; the standard Vibram 3-Pin 75mm Nordic norm sole and the Nordic norm which is specifically molded for the plastic Scarpa, Garmont, and Merrel boots.
A common problem with leather telemark boots is their tendency to "blow out" around the front toe welt due to environmental elements and the amount of torsional pressure applied to it. At RMR we can replace this by inseaming a new piece of leather into the insole and jigging it out to the original specifications. We use the most durable leather available to help insure it won't happen again.
The uppers of telemark boots take a lot of abuse on the slopes. We carry replacement parts for all of the major manufacturers, including Scarpa, Merrell, Asolo and Arkos. Instep buckles or any additional buckles can also be installed in most telemark boots.
Many of the leather boots have an internal stiffener that stops at the ball of the foot, but as everybody's foot is different the plastic stiffener may break in the wrong place. We can go into the boot internally and cut it to the right spot so those black and blue toes will once again be happy. Telemark boots can also be modified for the "perfect fit". We can stretch the boot lengthwise and widthwise. Areas of the boot can also be heat molded to accommodate bone spurs, bunions, callouses and other foot irregularities.
We understand the anguish of boot separation, so we offer a five to seven day turnaround. We also put faith in our craftsmanship which enable us to offer a one year warranty on all of our repairs.
